Welcome to the Michigan Gay Officers Action League!

Our Mission Statement

  • The Michigan Gay Officers Action League was established in 2010, and exists to advocate for the equal treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) public safety and criminal justice professionals, and their allies.
  • While MI-GOAL desires to be a positive influence within the LGBT community, it also expects to be instrumental in changing homophobic attitudes and preventing harassment in the workplace and in the community at large.
  • MI-GOAL will accomplish this mission through professional development, innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs.

Confidentiality Statement:
MI-GOAL does NOT release the names or any personal, or identifying,
information about its members, its membership roster or those who
have merely inquired about MI-GOAL, to anyone at any time -
not in printed publications, photographs or in conversations with others.

Our next board meeting will be held on August 24th prior to the Lansing Lugnet's Games.

MI-GOAL serves the law enforcement, public safety, criminal justice and corrections professions.  MI-GOAL promotes diversity, acceptance and non-discrimination of all classes of persons, professionally and out in our communities through education, solidarity and professionalism, and offers professionals a network for education, support and collegiality.
